Filipino Migrant Workers Day set at SM on June 7

It is going to be a celebration of Filipinos’ skills in the coming 15th Migrant Workers Day set on June 7 at SM Supermalls.

In partnership with the Overseas Workers Welfare Association (OWWA), SM has tied up with various government agencies and private companies to provide special training and services exclusively for overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and their families.

At SM City Marilao in Bulacan, there will be a whole-day seminar series at the Event Center giving Global Pinoy Center members and other OFWs a chance to:
· Be an informed PhilHealth member. Be an instant member of Philippine Health Insurance and know more about its great rewards with the Philhealth orientation for the event participants.

· Learn new skills from PESO. Add another livelihood skill in your list of strengths by watching the demonstration of hairstyling, flower arrangement and other skills organized by the Marilao Public Employment Service Office.

· Start a business with tips from DOLE. Test the waters of entrepreneurship with the “How to Start a Business” talk from the Department of Labor and Employment-Bulacan. It is a great opportunity to learn about the basics of business and the requirements to make a jump from being a laborer to becoming a full-fledged entrepreneur.

Join the Migrant Workers Day celebration at SM City Marilao! For more details, please call the Mall Administration Office or the Global Pinoy Center at 044.933.2013 to 17.
